Paper tubes can be made to about any size needed without having expensive tooling cost.  Just like plastic preforms, paper tubes can be made to exact ID and OD tolerances needed. 

Electrical grade Kraft paper has no recycled content and is rated to around 180 volts per mil.  Phenolic Kraft has the same electrical properties, but is much stronger than Kraft alone.  You can achieve the same crush strength with half the wall thickness by using Phenolic Kraft.  This can be important if you don't have a lot of room in your part for a preform.  High temp application can use a Nomex tube.  For more information on these types of materials, visit our FAQ page.
